The silent wrecks of Kwajalein Atoll /
In an effort to win control of the Marshall Islands gateway to the Japanese empire, U.S. aircraft bombarded Japanese ships in the lagoon at Kwajalein for weeks. Later, this lagoon became the graveyard for WWII era airplanes and shipwrecks.
