Item Description:	Based on the musical play by Jerome Kern and Oscar Hammerstein, II, from Edna Ferber's novel. Much of the musical's dialogue was rewritten for this adaptation. Much of Hammerstein's dialogue from the musical was rewritten for this adaptation. Originally released as a motion picture in 1951. SDH subtitles not mentioned on container or disc menu but are accessible while viewing the film. Special feature: original theatrical trailer.
