President Jimmy Carter's energy message

Discusses the energy crisis, and proposes new measures to deal with it. President Jimmy Carter addresses the nation on April 5, 1979. He advocates the decontrol of oil prices, the imposition of a windfall profits tax, energy conservation, and the development of new sources of energy.
