Leo Marx

Leo Marx (born November 15, 1919) is a Professor of the History and Philosophy of Science Emeritus at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is known for his works in the field of American studies. Dr Marx studies the relationship between technology and culture in 19th and 20th century America. He graduated from Harvard University with a BA in history and literature and a PhD in the history of American civilization in 1950. Marx was awarded Guggenheim Fellowships in 1961 and 1965.
