Maira Kalman

Kalman at the 2010 [[Texas Book Festival]] Maira Kalman (; born 1949) is an Israeli-born American illustrator, writer, artist, and designer. New York City brings Kalman's creativity to life via her collaboration with many of New York's institutions, such as The Museum of Modern Art, as well as gaining inspiration from the city's well known landmarks. Her picture book, ''Fireboat: The Heroic Adventures of the John J. Harvey'' can be found in World Cat library. This book was both written and illustrated by Kalman.
